Zeus: Master of Olympus cheats, checked code by code

20 October 2026 · Reading time about 7 minutes

Zeus has a short list of real cheat codes, a few that exist only to make you laugh, and a long tail of strings that live on cheat aggregators and nowhere else. These are the codes the long-running fan sites agree on, typed exactly, with the quirks to know when one seems to do nothing.

Every code below was checked against Zeus Heaven, Citadel of Poseidon and the Sierra Help Pages, plus four old cheat databases, and it counts as confirmed only when independent lists agree. For the game itself, where to buy it and how to run it on a modern PC, see our guide to playing Zeus: Master of Olympus today.

How to open the cheat box in Zeus

While a city is running, press Ctrl + Alt + C and the cheat window opens. Type the code and press Enter.

Type every code exactly as printed: capitals and spaces are part of it, so Delian Treasury needs both capitals and the gap. The expansion's codes set the opposite trap: Hotlava, Seasick, Bigbadwolf, Mammaldrome and Atlasthegreat are each one unbroken word.

The confirmed Zeus cheat codes

Checked against Zeus Heaven, Citadel of Poseidon, the Sierra Help Pages, Gameswelt, Cheatbook, GameRevolution and Chaptercheats on 20 October 2026.
CodeWhat it doesNotes
Delian TreasuryAdds 1,000 drachmas to the treasuryOn every list we checked. Zeus Heaven says it only pays out while the treasury holds less than 15,000.
AmbrosiaWins the episode you are playingOn every list we checked. It takes effect when the month turns over, or the one after. Save first.
Fireballs from HeavenClick a tile and a fireball falls on it, wrecking whatever stands thereOn every list we checked. Zeus Heaven and Cheatbook say it can kill a monster.
Cheese PuffYour dairy workers parade about dressed as cheeseA joke. On nearly every list.
Bowvine and ArrowsYour towers fire cows instead of arrowsA joke. Zeus Heaven prints it as Bowvine and Arrow, so if one spelling does nothing, try the other. Note the w.

Only the first three are useful; the jokes are what people remember. The traditional move is Bowvine and Arrows followed by Fireballs from Heaven, after which your strike from the sky drops cows. Pointless, and worth doing once.

Save before you type Ambrosia

Ambrosia is the code that can cost you a city. It hands you the episode as a win a month or two after you type it, whether or not you were enjoying the city. Save first, and keep the save.

Poseidon: Master of Atlantis cheats

The Steam and GOG bundle installs both games, so these sit alongside the codes above. Mammaldrome is the one the main fan sites list. The other four come from the Poseidon-era lists (Sierra Help's Poseidon page, Gameswelt and Cheatbook) and are absent from Zeus Heaven's. For what the expansion itself adds, see our guide to Poseidon: Master of Atlantis.

The lists disagree on the opening capital of these one-word codes, so if Seasick does nothing, try seasick.
CodeWhat it doesNotes
MammaldromeFinish a hippodrome first: its racehorses become a boar, a bull, a wolf and a deer, with matching noisesNeeds a completed hippodrome. Two lists claim it refills your granary every three months instead; the hippodrome version is better supported.
SeasickPoseidon multiplies the fish in your granary tenfoldPoseidon-era lists only.
HotlavaA second strike from the sky on the spot you clickPoseidon-era lists only. One describes a fireball, another a falling meteorite.
BigbadwolfWolves grow bigger and, by one account, more dangerousPoseidon-era lists only.
AtlasthegreatSpeeds up construction, to about a quarter of the usual time by two lists' reckoningAlso printed atlastthegreat: try both. One list says it only helps big projects such as sanctuaries.

Cheats not working? What to check

  1. Every character. The fan sites are clear that capitals and spaces count: type Delian Treasury, not delian treasury, and Hotlava, not Hot Lava.
  2. The size of your treasury. By Zeus Heaven's account, Delian Treasury does nothing once you hold 15,000 drachmas or more. Spend below that and type it again.
  3. The calendar. Ambrosia only takes effect when the month turns over, and sometimes not until the month after. A Steam community thread, "Cheats not working?", began with exactly this: the game confirmed Ambrosia, then nothing seemed to happen.
  4. The other spelling. Try Bowvine and Arrow for the cow code and atlastthegreat for the Atlas one.
  5. The hippodrome. Mammaldrome only does anything to a finished hippodrome, and hippodromes only exist in Poseidon.

As for versions: nothing we found says the codes were removed from the Steam or GOG releases, and no source documents a problem with particular keyboard layouts or builds, so we will not guess at one.

Codes that circulate but are not confirmed

Listed by some fan sites or cheat databases, not confirmed. Treat these as rumours:

Cities of the Aegean, the same loop in a browser tab

Our game, so read this with the appropriate scepticism.

Cities of the Aegean is a city builder in the Zeus tradition that runs in a browser tab, with no install. You lay roads and walkers do the work: carts haul wheat to the granaries and agora vendors carry food to the houses on their round. Houses climb from huts to great estates as water, food, olive oil and fleece reach them. Eight Olympians have temples you raise as supplied construction sites, and from the middle of the third year monsters arrive that call for a hero from a Hero Shrine.

A coastal Greek city in Cities of the Aegean, with piers, wheat fields and olive trees along the shore, a theatre, rows of tiled houses, donkey carts on the roads and a field of rocky outcrops
This is our game, Cities of the Aegean, not Zeus: a young coastal city laid out along its roads.

It is not a remake, and it is a small team's game. Our games like Zeus list covers the wider field, and if you would rather just start, the beginner's guide is the quickest way in.

It runs in a browser tab. Nothing to install.

Questions people ask

What are some cheat codes for Zeus: Master of Olympus on PC?

Press Ctrl + Alt + C during play and type a code exactly as printed. The confirmed ones are Delian Treasury (1,000 drachmas), Ambrosia (wins the episode a month or two later) and Fireballs from Heaven (a fireball on the tile you click), plus two jokes, Cheese Puff and Bowvine and Arrows.

Why are my Zeus cheats not working?

Usually the spelling: capitals and spaces are part of every code. Beyond that, Delian Treasury stops paying out at 15,000 drachmas (Zeus Heaven's figure), Ambrosia waits for the month to turn over, Mammaldrome needs a finished hippodrome, and the cow code circulates as both Bowvine and Arrows and Bowvine and Arrow, so try each.

Are there cheats for Poseidon: Master of Atlantis?

Yes. Mammaldrome turns the horses in a finished hippodrome into other animals, and the Poseidon-era lists add Seasick (ten times the fish in your granary), Hotlava (a strike from the sky), Bigbadwolf (bigger wolves) and Atlasthegreat (faster building). The Zeus codes are listed for the expansion too.

Is there a money cheat in Zeus?

Delian Treasury adds 1,000 drachmas, though Zeus Heaven notes it only pays out while the treasury holds less than 15,000. No unlimited-money code is confirmed. The lasting fix for an empty treasury is houses that pay tax, which our Zeus housing blocks guide covers.

Do the cheats work in the Steam and GOG versions?

Nothing we found says the codes were removed. Both stores sell the same combined Zeus + Poseidon install, and in a Steam community thread about cheats not working, the game acknowledged the code. The trouble there was Ambrosia, which waits for the next month before it does anything.

The short version

Ctrl + Alt + C, then the code exactly, capitals and spaces included. Delian Treasury when the treasury runs low, Fireballs from Heaven for a monster you cannot face, Ambrosia only after a save. Bowvine and Arrows followed by Fireballs from Heaven is the one everybody tries once. Everything else about running the game is in our Zeus guide.
