Who is responsible

What stays on your device

Your cities, your play-time record and your license token live in your browser's local storage. They are never uploaded — we cannot see your saves.

What we process, and why

• Purchases — payment is handled entirely by Stripe; card details go to Stripe, never to us. We receive your email address and payment status to issue and verify your license (necessary to perform our contract with you). Purchase records are retained as long as tax law requires.
• License restore emails — when you ask to restore a purchase, your email address is used to look up the purchase with Stripe and, if found, to send you a restore link via our email provider, Resend.
• Analytics — the site uses Google Analytics to understand how the game is played (pages, approximate location, device type). See "Cookies" below.
• Hosting — the game is served by Vercel, whose infrastructure processes IP addresses in ordinary server logs.

Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary local storage (saves, play time, license) needs no consent. Google Analytics sets cookies; where required, we ask for your consent before analytics runs.

Processors and recipients

Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Google (analytics), Vercel (hosting). We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your rights

Where the GDPR applies you can request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, object to processing, and complain to your supervisory authority. For anything related to your data, write to info@citiesoftheaegean.com. Deleting your purchase email from our processors would end our ability to restore your license, so we will confirm before acting on such a request.
